On Friday April 17th, 2008 I attended the Texas SRD
in Wichita Falls, my old stomping ground. Each state
with TOPS chapters have an annual recognition day
of the best of the best weight loss losers for the year.
The celebrations are generally held in the spring
followed by  International Recognitions Days held in
the summer, when all the states and Canada come
together. These are days filled with fellowship and fun
along with treating those who have lost weight as
royalty. My high school buddy and fellow 1968
graduate, Gail, served as emcee for the event, with
her younger sister busy as a co-chairman. The theme
was "Winner Wonderland". The hall was decorated in
a lovely blue with snowflakes and glitter all around.
